POSITION OVERVIEW
This position reports to the Director of Trip Operations and Government Relations as a key member of the Government Relations team. The position manages government relationships to ensure opportunities for partnership and funding are executed seamlessly. This position also assists with Momentum's public relations efforts in Israel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages Momentum’s relationships with the Israeli government, including but not limited to coordinating steering committees, writing, and fulfilling all government reporting obligations 3 times a year, and answering queries and government audits.
- Leads in orchestration of all government reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions are made, and all relevant teams are included.
- Extends public support among decision makers by creating opportunities for engagement with Momentum on our Israel programs, which include events, programs, and informal gatherings with the Israeli community, in the Knesset, and other opportunities to cultivate positive relationships.
- Builds and maintains a strategy to engage with a special focus on government officials, politicians, IDF, heads of major organizations, and other influencers.
- Coordinates with other related organizations to identify opportunities for partnership to strengthen our appeal for government funding and collaborations.
- Oversee all security-related matters, including security strategy, risk assessment, security briefings, and coordination with security personnel and relevant partners.
- Assists in the public relations efforts in Israel. contributing to media relations, social media engagement, communications initiatives, and public-facing messaging.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with government officials.
- Deep understanding of and experience working with Jewish communities in the Diaspora.
- Completion of military service in the IDF or National Service (Sherut Leumi).
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills - excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to deliver effective presentations in front of prospects & constituents.
- Demonstrates innovation, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to periodically travel and take part in Momentum trips.
- Ability to speak and write fluently in Hebrew and English.
- Deep passion and commitment to the mission of Momentum and Israel.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weeknights when necessary to participate in Momentum meetings and events.
The salary range is 15000 - 15500 NIS per month, depending on relevant experience.
